Eat it using your five fingers:

Lunch on a leaf
Eat it using your five fingers:
An Andhra thali

Older than the rest
Sturdier than the others
An Ambassador

Feed the cow
Pat her gently on the fore head
Surely you will be bless‘d

Traffic on the road
Feeding green grass to a cow
India is great

It might sound odd
Something is moving below my bed
Rabbits, it seems

Can you tell me
If the cat’s happy or sad
By the shape of its tail?

High on a corner
Watching life passing by
The deity sits still

The midday sun
Surmounts the sacred mandir
In the town’s market place
NB A mandir is a temple

Palms everywhere
Bikes and cows on the highway
Our Indian roads

She waits with hope
Maybe some fish will come her way
There is plenty here
