Parrot on a fence
gnawing on a nut:
Once wild, now a bit too tame!

Parrot on a fence
gnawing on a nut:
Once wild, now a bit too tame!

Ev’ry now and then
comes the urge to indulge
in treats sweetly tasting
(Image: Portuguese sweets at Café Lisboa in London, W10)

Feel like a feline,
take rest when you can,
life is for lounging: enjoy!

A world in a bottle,
encapsulated
within a thin wall of glass

Foliage goldening
In the setting sun:
Autumn arrives slowly

A celestial trail crossing
the west London sky
very faintly

Eyes glued to screens
On tablets and phones:
Absorbed, alone with their egos

Vienna and Wiesbaden can
No more be reach’d
From this here station

Like ants they crawl
Across a sea of glass
High above the River Thames

Let us spray
That the water will help
Nourish the vegetati-on
